Q: If I am predisposed to a disease, does that mean I’m going to get it?

A: The test shows whether you have a greater chance of getting an aged related disease but offers you the opportunity to make changes to your lifestyle to lessen the likelihood.

Q: Once I know what areas of my health is a concern, what can I do about it?

A: There’s plenty you can do but it may mean making changes to your lifestyle like including exercises, eating the right food, adjusting alcohol intake or giving up smoking. Think of the LifeGenes™ Genetic Profile Report as a surveillance tool that scans your body’s blueprint and provides an insight for staying healthy and living longer.

Q: I am 28 years old and thinking of doing the test. What is the best age to do the test?

A: Age is of no consequence in regard to when is the best time to do the test. Being 28 years old means that you have plenty of time to make changes and really get into the habit of looking after your body. Any age is a good age. We have a broad range of ages taking the LifeGenes™ test from teenagers’ right through to people in their 60s.

Q: How do I know what to do with the results once I get them back?

A: The results should be interpreted with the support of a Medical Practitioner. The Genetic Profile results are combined with a lifestyle questionnaire and other visual and or diagnostic tools. The report and diagnosis provides the opportunity to create a personalized lifestyle strategy that you can use for the remainder of your life.

Q: You say there is loads of information on the CD that comes with the Kit, what sort of information is it?

A: The information provided on the Patient CD includes Exercise Programs, Dietary and Nutritional Advice. This information enables you to empower yourself to improve your health and take control. There are walking programs, mobility exercises, Health and Wellness educational cards and Leisure and Lifestyle modification tips. They are all printable.
